Walmart China opened the first Walmart Hypermarket and Sam’s Club in Shenzhen in 1996. Since then, we have grown to operating approximately 400 stores in over 100 cities nationwide. Today, we operate a number of formats and banners in China including Walmart Hypermarket, Sam’s Club and Distribution Center.

Walmart is committed to the Chinese market and has recently announced plans to grow its Omni channel business, increase investment in customer’s shopping experience and continue strengthening partnerships with local suppliers. Walmart attaches great importance to the construction of every store and distribution center. It has strict requirement and control on project quality and management, as well as standardized operation system.
